Full panel glass shower door or half panel

We remodeled the master bathroom and I thought a half panel shower would look awesome in this bathroom, but when the shower door technician came to measure I realized that on the daily basis water will splash out if I do half panel .. I have never used half panel so would like some more opinions please..

Nnigrt, so your 32" panel is keeping the water in the shower area? Ours is coming out at 24". My total opening is 46". To keep in code and enter in the shower the max I can go is 24".

I personally love the simplicity of not having a shower door. It keeps the look clean + modern. If you have the appropriate amount of tile / waterproof surfaces throughout your bathroom, splashes will happen, but won't be a practical issue, especially if the shower itself is sloped properly. The image I am using here has a chainmaille shower curtain that was installed as a back-up in case the water splashing was an issue, but ended up never being used.

I've had neither, but I'm sure he should know. It does not look wide enough for a half door.

i have one but we have a 36" wide panel. really we need 32" but you dont have that i believe.

yes i think 32" would be enough. we have 36" because our contractor was worried.

24" def would not be enough. here i'll find a picture.
(the color is def off, its very grey, not this pinky color)

the whole shower is 4' x 8'

Nnigrt also has a ceiling fixture with a handheld which does make a difference.

How about a 28-36" panel/door that swings open?

Thanks for the pic, beautiful bathroom! Ok will check about a large single swing door. Do they make that kind?

Maybe I am remembering something wrong, but didn't you take out a 5' tub? Is the total opening above the bench about 5', and the opening at the floor 46"? More like this?

Yes that's right Fred. We removed the 5 ft tub and the total is 46" with the seat. We wanted to do the half shower door and the contractor infact put tile all the way on the wall so water will repeal off. But I am now worried that I will have to wipe the floor every time we take a bath.

Personally, I am so afraid someone would slip on the shower floor and fall through the glass door and be seriously injured. I personally prefer a plain white nylon shower curtain -- waterproof, of course -- that I can clean in the washer. The nylon fabric still looks luxurious, and it adds a soft texture to the room.
