pop-up sprinklers that spray UP and not sideways?

I am looking for 180 and 90 degree pop-ups (toro or similar brand) that spray more UP (cone shaped emission) than horizontal.

For reasons I don't understand, some of mine have a taller spray and clear the grass nicely. Others (the 180s and 90s) spray pretty much horizontally from the top of the popup and as a result the grass blocks the water distribution. It being Buffalo grass, I don't have any plans for cutting it super short to suit the sprinklers.

If there is an adjustment (not for radius, but for changing the spray to more vertical) what is it?

Or what model spray head would get me the more vertical spray?

Yes, and it gets bupkus in the way of activity.

Yeah, it does, but you might get lucky.

I don't have upward-spraying nozzles, but I do find the Hunter 15' adjustable spray nozzle does a pretty good job of clearing taller grasses as the spray angle is pretty sharply upwards. And you can change the angular opening to anything you want.

You might be able to change out the problem risers with taller ones as well--most companies make 4", 6", and 12" risers.

The replacement heads at Lowes show the pattern on their label. We have some that spray horizontally and and some spray vertically.
