Anyone have any experience with Cubitac cabinets?

I've spent a good amount of time at Home Depot designing a large kitchen using American Craftmark cabinets. But last week, when I was shopping for countertops at a local granite store, the owner told me he sold cabinets that were as good as anything at Home Depot but at half the cost. He said they were Cubitac and Fabuwood brand cabinets. I've seen a lot of discussions on Fabuwood on these forums, but haven't seen any discussions regarding Cubitac. Anyone have some insight on this brand?

AmWood is he miimum acceptable quality for projects. It's a good value, if limited In sizes and styles. Crap import is not acceptable for projects one wants to live with. And it's criminal for a flipper to do that to the subsequent buyer, but the flipper doesn't care.

In regard to both brands we use both. Fabuwood has more options and more doors. Cubitac is similar to Fabuwood. It all depends on the price and the door styles. We have used both without any issues with them. Unfortunately the imports have become very competitive against the American brands to to labor. If you choose the imports you will be fine. They offer the same as the American brands with half the cost. Fabuwood does so much here in the US that they will eventually be labeled an American Brand per our rep from Fabuwood.

I received our delivery of Cubitac cabinets about two weeks ago May 14th. The cabinets were ordered on March 29 and were delivered to Consumers Kitchen & Bath as promised around first week of May. Unfortunately, more than five cabinets arrived too badly damaged to install, and at least eight doors require replacement. In addition touch up is necessary on many additional pieces. My carpenter has not left the site, and in the end will be seeking additional payment for no less than 20-30 hours of extra work. Unpacking and examining cabinets, then reviewing same with Consumers' customer service, his labor to install replacement doors and do touch up work. Consumers advised me it is not their responsibility. I asked Cubitac, but they do not have anyone either. Waiting for re-delivery this Friday or Saturday (June 1 or 2). I will follow up and update this posting next week.

Ten months later, and I ready to offer an update.

The cabinets LOOK great, except for a minor latent defect that has surfaced. See photos below. I notified Cubitac and Consumers by email 2 weeks ago, got an immediate quick response from Consumers, but no follow up since Monday March 4.

    Still waiting..........................

Looks very similar to a number of defects on cabinets we received just 2 weeks ago. The quality control is less than stellar! I cant wait to see how long it will take to replace all of the damaged doors. I dont want touch up paint. Replace the doors.

The cabinets were all very different in over all heights. This will be an issue for the granite counter installation.

More reviews to come with pictures. Not happy!

Hello, do you have an update to how everything went with the replacements and how your cabs look now?

I've order some cabinet for a full kitchen renovation thur my local dealer and they have been to my house about 6 times and each time they forget a cabinet or do not have it. My kitchen still half done and today they made another deliver to the cabinet company and " guess what cabinet still no where to be found" I call them over and over and they saif they can deal with me because I'm not a wholesale person. But they will call me 6 weeks and still waiting for a call and no cabinet. I have a few other project and clients in real estate and I will NEVER recommend them to do a job.!! If you want your project done on time go somewhere else.

Can anyone tell me how well the Cubitac cabinets have held up over a few years? Ordered two cabinets around Labor day. So far had to send one back because of a split on the box and today received the wrong replacement. Now will be another 1 to 2 wk wait. Other cabinet not happy with little imperfections of the paint finish.

I just had cubitc Sofia latte installed. 1 cabinet and 1 door arrived damaged. I agree with you about the imperfections in the paint.
