This is my new house. The first photo shows the old owner's decor and furniture but I am posting it to give you an idea of the rooms. The kitchen nook is on the left and the family room is on the right. The two rooms are open to each other with that two-sided fireplace partially dividing them. We have now painted over the faux paint in a neutral tan color (Benjamin Moore's Lenox Tan), and I have purchased some curtains that I really love for the family room. 120" curtains in tan with a rust colored botanic print (second photo). I'm wondering if I should hang the same curtains in the kitchen too. I could either hang panels or make valances made from the fabric. Do you think this would bring cohesion to the two rooms or be TOO matchy-matchy? Would it be better to find a different print that coordinates for the kitchen curtains instead?
