How much space is on either side of the island?

This kitchen is beautiful and mine has a similar layout, but I'm not sure if I have space for an island in the middle.

Hi There! A good rule of thumb is 42" minimum for a good work aisle. Your really pushing it if you go less. I must say one time I moved an island off center to give a good aisle on the diswasher side and we had just 38 inches on the other side. It was not the ultimate thing to do but the client really wanted the island. Pay attention to where your dishwasher door goes down...you need to be able to walk through, even with the door down. Hope this helps in some way...Jo
