Regardless of whether you join in the fray or not, this is priceless. I needed a little humor today :-)

I'm so bored that I will now pull-up all my old post and "like" myself............;)

Uh oh...transbrass and transorb......nothing is safe!

Neutrals with pops of color are ALWAYS safe, kswl!

"It's always funny until someone gets hurt. Then it's just hilarious." -- the late Bill Hicks, comedian

    In
context, this thread has been a way to lighten the atmosphere created
by another very intense current discussion (and maybe the heat-wave here
in the east). The posts in which we are making fun of ourselves and
long-time GW 'nuggets of wisdom' are the funniest, IMO.

Newbies, we are usually very nice to each other,
and to new members seeking advice. Please excuse us, but it's not our
faults--Mercury was in retrograde when this thread (and the other one)
    was started.

Perhaps mercury will be the new metal. Just be careful not to place your fixtures too close to your range and you should test your granite to see how it is affected by the drips.

(We're just poking fun at ourselves.)

I don't post often, mostly lurk, but just want to add that there are too many neutral colors going on with that bunny. You didn't ask for advice, but maybe some pops of color by adding fruit to the top of the pancake. I think fresh strawberries would be nice, but not the stem as it would get lost with the green backpack. Just my two cents...

Matti I'm sorry but I totally disagree. The bunny needs a steel wool scrubby on top of the pancake. The idea Matti in this type of design is to create a beret look that is both organic and utilitarian at the same time.

Matti and JL...LOL! Ditto et al!!

The bunny with the pancake is dated, at least here on the east coast. We were doing that 10 years ago.

Is the pancake gluten free? Because that changes everything.

The pancake bunny must work at IHOP.

Lisa_mocha, here's a link that might be helpful. Hopefully bunny PRO lavender_lass, will chime in.

I'm sorry, but I think that bunny decor is just hopless.

On another note.... my beagle read this thread and now he's trying to tell me he self-identifies as a rabbit. Do you think he's just trying to get into the bunny cage?

Oh pullleeze, who wears pancake hats after Memorial Day?

Hey...I have printed sheets from Target......and I use Oxiclean.

    The bunny is gluten-free.

The second picture of a bunny is much more timeless with the neutral bunny placed slightly off-center symmetrically on the neutral area rug. The pop of blue is perfect and the metal cage adds some texture to the room. I do question the lampshade colour though.

I hope Holly-Kay sees this. She was looking for ways to summerize her home.

blfenton I agree, the pop of color makes a huge difference, understated, yet bold! Also, the cone should be a soft pastel.

The linoleum needs to go, but I'd probably keep the white garbage can as I would hate to be wiping bunny prints off of stainless steel all day.

I think what's throwing the room off is the peachy undertones in the rabbit (especially the cone, which is a focal point). I like the peach and blue scheme, especially if this is a beachbunny, but the rug and floor have a green undertone that is undermining what is otherwise a great room!

I would leave the bunny, but go with hardwood on the floor, and an old persian (rug) that has some of the orange and blue in it. Preferably a busy pattern that hides stains.

    Designsaavy, me too :-)

Now if we want to get into who lives an amoral, promiscuous lifestyle that threatens society and the family unit, just take a look at bunnies! And from the pics above, I don't even think they're ashamed of themselves!

jlc712, for a moment there I thought you were talking about the Kardashians. My apologies for veering off topic, I know it's frowned upon.

Poor bunny! Kim is wearing it While eating pancakes. Boo hoo it's head is gone...gone I tell you.. Now they are all fighting over who gets the head. last I read Catlyn was in the lead for the head but there are some Gray areas on whether she qualifies.

Imvho even dead bunnies give a bit of texture to a room, and not everyone can afford the maintenance of a live texture, although you'd think KK could swing it but I am certainly NOT judging how she spends her money.

Kim K. should get some class. Instead of wearing dead bunnies, she could wear a tasteful tortilla (in Adobe White, my kitchen cabinet color). The fashion forward bunnies could also wear tortillas. But not before Cinco De Mayo.

People think bunnies are so sweet.

    Is that a cake topper?

hahahahaha Mama_Goose, that was the best!!

No, it was a bunny hat KK was wearing, it attacked her during New York fashion week. I will try to link the article.

I think we should get back on-topic and ask a moderator to move these fashion posts to the Conversations side. Someone is posting there right now looking for advice on what hat to wear to a Bar Mitzvah in a barn.

May, do you think if I bring in a pop of color with bunnies to summer-ize my home that I should have all four paws on the carpet or just two?

Holly -Kay, decorating rule #1 - "All groupings must be done in 3's", therefore you should do 3 paws on the carpet in your summer-ized room.

Matti, to keep the grouping symmetrical maybe I should go with three bunnies. That way might be best. Three bunnies would give so much more umph to my summer-ized room.

No, Holly. Just pop an ice cream cone on the bunny's head and call it done. I've seen it in a Restoration Hardware catalog and it looked so trendy.

But may_flowers, Restoration Hardware only uses grey bunnies so I wonder if the look would transfer to neutral beigey/taupey coloured bunnies.

I believe you are all missing that the cone bunny is actually an extraterrestrial being. The cone hides the antennae he uses for thought-control broadcasting. You may think all this recent kale salad nonsense is a fad, but I know where it's actually coming from. Outer Space.

This is ridiculous. That's too much animal print for one person's house. I'd dump the bunny and go icat, er, ikat.

Oooooh Mamagoose! Where did you find that adorable bunny? He would look gorgeous in my living room.

Holly-Kay, I think I copied it from the 'Does your kitchen match your bunny?' thread. It looks a little disgruntled to me though--don't know if I'd trust it around the kids.

"Kale salad nonsense"? I find that comment extremely offensive. I love Kale! My interior designer just completed my living room and masterbath redo around Kale. I understand everyone is entitled to their opinion, but that was harsh. Guess I won't be posting my before and after pics :(

Rumour has it though that "Kale Salad" is Pantones colour for 2016.

There is a current thread asking about paint color for a bathroom highlighting a collection of cranberry glass. I think 'Kale Salad' would be perfect (red/green complementary).

matti5, please post your pictures--I'm sure the member seeking help would appreciate it.

There is also a thread "Can I hang fruit in the entrance?" I think Matti is needed there too.
