I definitely want to go! It's supposed to be so beautiful...the Hawaii of the Atlantic. Be sure to take lots of pics and share them. It's definitely on my list for a place to go see.

Anne, on this trip we are just going to Sao Miguel, the biggest island in the azores. There is another trip we will be going on maybe later this year or for sure next summer, through the travel agency in Toronto, that organizes these tours that includes all the nine islands of the azores. It is a 3 week tour. Are you close to Toronto, Ontario, with the Canadian dollar down, the 9 island tour would be very reasonable in US dollars. I believe it is around $3600 Cdn, includes everything except for some meals.

Oh have fun! I too hope to see some photos. We have a good sized population of people here from the Azores, I'd love to see where they're from.

Thanks Rose, that sounds like a wonderful tour. I'll have to look into it. We aren't that near Toronto, but we're not that far. I haven't looked into other tours either. I understand there are nonstop flights out of Boston daily. Do enjoy and report back!
