I'm worried about my big bur oak treat in front of my house. I noticed last week that some of the leaves had been turning brown, but today when I went over there (renovating and not living there at the moment) almost all of the leaves are brown and falling off, just like it does in the fall. No spots, holes, curled edges or anything else like I've seen in pictures of oak diseases, just turning uniform brown like fall.

I found one reference to too much water, which if that could cause this is a definite possibility, because we've had an insane amount of rain here in central texas this spring and early summer.

I'm going to call an arborist tomorrow to look at it, but thought I might try to get multiple opinions.

I hope it's not serious and the tree will recover, it would suck to lose it.
