No, Neil. This is actually a monstrose Opuntia...Eve's Needle I think is the common name. One of the few cacti which retains leaves.

No prob, Neil...These crested ones are seen more and more now, Crested Eve's Needle - Austrocylindropuntia subulata f. cristate.

I would love to get it but dose it have thorns

The Opuntia not only have thorns, they have glochids, which are worse, very difficult to remove.
