I like it. I'd offer 75-100. Home goods have really pretty tables for that amount, prob not as nice but I consider that the kinda of furniture that is not investment but something I'd change in a heartbeat to update or refresh overall decor.

Bossyvossy- I offered 100 too, but the seller said she couldn't because she's moving and she needs all the money she can get (she totally went on the other end on that one, lol. Usually movers just want to get stuff off their hands, I understand her though).

Her list price is $195.

That is the truth! Last weekend we were driving down a main road near us and one house had a TON of furniture in their driveway with a big FREE sign! Apparently they were moving and just wanted to get rid of everything. We drove by again less than an hour later and there were 2 vehicles loading up the leftover shtuff.

Ask the seller again in a few days/week to see if she'd take the $100.

I know right? When I moved I took all reasonable offers, and I was always willing to take a reasonable loss. I needed the money too (we just closed on our condo and I just delivered baby #2) but I figured some $$ (vs nothing) and not moving stuff I didn't love was still worth it.

Anyway she came back to me again saying she will do $175.

And ck_squared I totally got some free furniture from the curbside too, lol! My dining table is a curbside find! :)

The back board of the credenza looks like heavy cardboard to me. If so, it is lower quality furniture.

Even at $175, it's still too much for what it would go for in my area. I would go back and politely offer $75 (or $100) if she doesn't get a better offer by moving day. Personally, I would pass on it altogether since you don't love it.

Thanks graywings! I took your advice and texted her back already to reconsider my offer come moving day. I would still love it at $100, haha. I think the doubt started to set in when she didn't budge on the price, lol.

I think it's particleboard. It looks like the left door slides behind the middle door, so it would be awkward to access the middle shelves. I also don't like what it does for the front. Does the right door open? I would expect to see hinges.

I suspect the left door should go in the middle for the symmetry, but they all can slide to one side for a double opening if needed.

it looks like it was painted somewhere along the line. Hold firm to your price.

The cathedral arch on the credenza is dated and not in a good way. $50-65 would be my offer.

Be patient and you'll find something you love. Even if it costs a bit more, it's worth it, if you love it.

Awww, I know. I personally prefer something with drawers too but I was willing to overlook that because I liked the whole 70s vibe.

It reminds me of an old 60s stereo cabinet, painted white. Sorry. I have also never liked the cathedral detail on the doors.
