You probably can mix them but why not use ORB hardware on cabinets?

jck901, I really like 'the look' of the brushed nickle with the white shaker cabinets which is the main reason why I haven't really considered using ORB on the cabinet hardware as well as on the pendant lights. I love the look of the brushed nickle cup pulls/hardware, although the ORB cup pulls/hardware are also very, very nice. Our house has a lot --I really mean A LOT of dark wood trim throughout {Hubby is against painting over wood grain lol, besides it really is beautiful wood & would be a shame to cover it} plus our kitchen is on the dark Northern side of the house & doesn't get much light so I'm trying to 'brighten it up' with the white cabinets & shiny stainless appliances & brushed nickle hardware. But I digress, The main reason I 'really' want the ORB on the pendant lights is because I think the darker color of ORB really flatters the Edison bulbs more so than brushed nickle would, ORB seems more authentic of the time period of an Edison Bulb. The ORB could be a happily quirky & ironic contrast to the contemporary/modern Stainless appliances. --Thanks!
