Is the trim in the same finish as the walls?

    Yes, we often paint the walls and the trim the same color, but in a different sheen. In this case, the walls are all painted wood, and so are in the stain sheen. In a sheetrock room, we paint the walls in a flat finish and the trim in a satin or semi-gloss. The sheen difference makes them appear slightly different than one another.

    so if you had drywall instead of wood as the backing would you paint all of it in satin so it would appear to all be wood paneling? Or wood you paint all of it in flat? Just curious, I was thinking of doing board trim on my drywall with this look but was unsure how to make sure it doesn't appear as drywall w/sticks on top! Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
