Is this an open concept space, or is there a separate room for the dining? I think the glass table goes better if both are in the same space. What colour are your floors?

Yes it's open and this is the other side which is the family room. We were going to choose the ebony stain for the hardwood. Would a lighter stain look better?

And what color couch would you go with

I like the look of the glass table better as I think the other one will look to heavy. However I have a wooden dining table with a glass inlay and I would not get another glass table for dining. I don't enjoy eating on the glass as everything makes a loud clanking noise when I set anything down and I'm always afraid of scratching the glass (scratches on glass can't be touched up as easily as on wood.) My glass table just doesn't feel homey to me and I'm looking forward to replacing it. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I just don't enjoy dining on the glass.

Personally I like the lines and more casual feel of the darker wood table. But if you are going for a more traditional look, you should choose the class one with upholstered chairs.

I like the glass table and chair set. The print on the chairs is cool, and I think the set goes well with the living room. I'll have to look at what sofa could possibly work and get back to you.

Glass is hard to keep clean.

My vote is for the glass top set. It is unique with a bit of whimsy, and appears to go well with the countertops. Great selection! The wooden set looks angular, heavy and sad.

I like the feel of the round set, but dislike glass. Have you considered something like a round table with light ash or driftwood finish?
