INTERIOR DESIGNER LONG ISLAND GARY MARC DESIGNS
Design tip of the week: Hanging pictures in your home can be stressful; you don’t want to end up with a wall full of holes because you weren’t sure of the proper height. Well, I will solve this mystery once and for all. Remember 57. That’s it! This is the amount in inches from the floor to the center of your art. An average size person’s eye generally falls close to this number. That means at 57” to the center of the art most people can view the art at a comfortable height. It’s not too low where they have to look down at the art and it’s not tall enough where you are lifting your head up. So that’s it! No more hanging art that is way too low or high to enjoy. One less thing to stress over!
