Hi Mandywang--Thank you for your question. This is called "Madre Perola" and it is a white QUARTZITE with light lime green streaks in it. Some places call it different things, but we purchased it from East West Marble in Sterling, VA, and it was a unique variety (Madre Perola is usually creamier or mostly green). Although this quartzite will etch a little easier than granite, it is still stronger than marble, and it is truly beautiful in person! The soft greens are perfect to bring out our painted glass backsplash, but without be too green!
