rosy long weekend

It was the Queens birthday public holiday today so I had three full days to get my garden in order after coming home from vacation to an overgrown weed bed.

Weeds cleared and frangipannis in. It was decided that we needed to keep the oleanders and plant the frangipanni to screen the neighbors ugly sheds (and the ugly neighbors).

"Cecile Brunner climbing" planted. Hoping these turn out to be spray Cecile/Bloomfield Abundance.

Left the self-sown Parsley alone for the Hoverflies and flower spiders.

I know plumeria/frangipanni and roses might seem like an odd combo, but I have a picture in my head.

Windermere has hopped into the same bed as Radio Times, Strawberry Hill, Devoniensis, Marie Lambert and the MIPs.

Going to keep on top of the Austins this year with more regular pruning/picking.

Old Blush/Parson's Pink China has established nicely over the winter.

As has Professeur Ganiviat.

The flowers smell similar to Archiduc Charles, but are a bit of a hot mess.

The Children's Roses/Frederic Mistrals are going well. They will need a mulch once the Ixias die down. I really want them to hide that fence ASAP.

This Alstroemeria is going gang-busters, much better performer than the dwarf ones. It wouldn't be terrible if it took over.
