would like honest opinions as to:

whether we should spend the money to replace our windows

B)
whether this is a fair price or a shakedown

C)
whether Pinnacle Products / Alsides are reputable companies with a good
product.

rep from Pinnacle Products Inc knocked on our door and offered a promotional
rate if we have our windows replaced with Alside brand windows *** their
MEZZO line *** and let them photograph them for their promotional
materials. Quote received is for 20 windows. List of windows and sizes below.

quoted: $14,970 ($28,963 Retail - without the promotional price).

price per window: $14,970 divided by 20
windows = $748 per window

Home
is 14 years old, currently has builder grade vinyl windows original
to home. We do not currently have any rot or condensation issues
with our current windows, all windows are functioning properly; they all open and
close, none are cracked or broken.
Issues we would like resolved: 1) home is North facing and our
main living areas do heat up uncomfortably in the summer from the heat
coming in the Kitchen and Master Bedroom/Master Bath windows, we already have cellular shades but do not like having shades closed during day. 2) Basement windows are cheap unpainted metal
and do not insulate the Basement at all in the winter. 3) Living Room window
does not open and we want to convert it to a window that will open to give us
cross-flow ventilation.
