That's a rare plant in the States. How big are the rosettes? If it didn't come with a tag specifying that particular variety, I would say it is Aeonium haworthii, a strongly clumping plant with small (5-8cm) rosettes. I have never seen var. guarimarense from the island of La Gomera.

the rosettes are rather small as you mentioned. It's growing on branches that have been there a while by the looks as there are roots hanging from branches that have struck in the soil.
Air roots are common, especially if grown very dry. I took a single cutting from my Mom's huge clump many years ago, and is all over my place now. Great plant. Goes dormant in summer like other Aeoniums, so be careful with watering the next few months down under.
