So I was about to order those basic stainless cabinet bar pulls from Amerock when I realized that they offer two choices on them: carbon steel and stainless steel. I asked the salesperson and he said that even though carbon steel is lighter but they have an outer protection layer which is much better for wear and tear. Is this really true? Is there a big difference on the weight of these two? I don't want something flimsy but the protection layer is definitely helpful in the kitchen. Anyone can give me some insights for this?
