Hard Freeze anyone?

We had our first hard freeze last night when temperatures dipped to 26. I've been scrambling for a week to get all my potted daylilies in the most protected site I can find and the annuals to the compost bin before they die an icky death in their containers. Bye Bye Begonias (Pansies did fine however)......Have you had your first killing freeze yet?............Maryl

Had a hard freeze just before Halloween, that's a little late here. 18 F today and 5 inches of snow yesterday. We got off easy with the snow, 30 miles north they got over 12". Actually November was quite mild till yesterday. It averaged 10 degrees above normal.

It was 27 degrees for awhile last night, but not much is dead yet. Tonight's 24 degrees should do the trick.

Was 26 here sunday night, but everything took it great except 2 hibiscus, and some annuals that froze.
