Updating split level entry

We are downsizing from a center hall colonial. Staying in this area,split levels and cape cods are the most available in our price range. I'm leaning towards S/L because I like some elements but hate the entry. Would like to bump it out a bit to make a little more of a statement ( and have a coat closet.) Suggestions??
