not in my opinion. some will feel they need to coordinate, but i do not believe most of your visitors will even remember what they saw in your foyer.

Chandeliers in different rooms just need to 'play nice'. They don't need to match, they just can't fight one another.

You could have a lantern in the entry and bling in the kitchen, though bling in the kitchen seems a bit over the top for a kitchen.

I agree, they don't need to match but for open spaces they should work nicely together. If the foyer very separate from the kitchen, you could have even more liberty on the choice of your light fixture.

I also agree with havingfun, people won't remember your light fixture in your foyer by the time they walk in your kitchen.
