I am furnishing my new home and the main color scheme is beige walls in the family room, kitchen and dining area. This is an open concept area, the kitchen cabinets are white and trim is white. Java stained Island. One bathroom and the 1/2 bath have blue walls and the mudroom and laundry room both have blue (undertone is black/ BM blackpepper) built ins. The family room will have beige sofa, loveseat, chairs will have a blue type of pattern and the draperies will be a light beige with a blue crochet stitch leaf pattern in the family and kitchen windows.

The issue is this, The foyer has french glass doors on either side leading into a study and the other is a sitting room with a fireplace. I would like to use a plum color and beige in the sitting room for my furnishings and curtains. Since the color purple coordinates with blue would it be correct to use plum in this room? Do I need to bring in a blue as well?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
