How far out from the countertop and cabinets would the panel protrude? Is it a good look?

The panel should not protrude; it would fit within the side of the fridge. The only thing that would be exposed would be the hinges that open and close the door.

Sorry -- I should have mentioned I have a Sub zero BI-36U/O-LH 36" Bttm. Freezer Overlay model. I am hearing this needs more depth in the flush inset implementation.

It is probably best for you to seek advise from your kitchen designer and/or cabinet fabricator who can best guide you having all factors present for your particular circumstances.
