I have Moen shower/tub combo that needs to be replaced without damaging the wall. It is extremely difficult to push on and off. I'm pretty sure it is a Moentrol valve (the holes at the bottom are at 5 and 7) and it is the kind that you push/pull off, not the lever. I will be buying another Moen set.

Do I "have" to replace it with the push/pull kind for it to fit properly or can I get the lever type? I will be having a plumber replace this, not trying this myself!
