I built these closet doors with white pine and I intend to mount them with black swinging hinges. I am trying to determine how to finish the doors with respect to the floor color. I am also going to be painting the walls of the room a light sky blue color so that is being considered as well. I know pine is a pain to prep and stain so my options are:
1. White wash stain
2. A few coats of Amber shellac finish
3. Clear shellac finish

I am wanting them to be a wow factor but also flexible and somewhat timeless.
