That pic doesn't look like a slab to me, it looks like a piece of fabric with a stone look pattern, upholstered to a headboard frame. It would be too thick and heavy to be a slab.

Here is a standard wall cladding hanger system.

But I have to say its looking less like stone to me too.

Remove a section of wallboard about two inches smaller than the perimeter of the desired stone ...add cross bracing between the studs that are exposed ...install cementious backer board where the wallboard was ...I would also consider attaching L brackets just under where the edge of the stone slab would go (towards the middle in three places where they won't be seen) ...then use thinset to attach the stone ...tension in place until set.

A slab that heavy must be mechanically attached to the structure. Is it an outside wall?

Let's say the slab was 24x96, that's 16 sq ft. Off the top of my head, I recall soapstone is 22 lbs per sq ft for 3cm thickness = 352 lbs, heavy, yes, but not excessive. Still, some kind of extra reinforcement or heavier studs at minimum would be called for, because it is cantilevered out from the wall several inches on that shadowbox mount.

There are ways to mount to a frame like that, that's simple: welded metal frames , epoxy anchor bolts into the back of the slab. And to hang it on the wall, some down-facing open-slotted tabs and 4 @ 1/2" bolts sticking out of the wall and you're good.
