How wide for a row of tomatoes? peppers? a zuc? or yellow squash?

I like the idea of individual garden beds... tried it a few years ago and it didn't go nearly as well as I had planned. I needed alot more compost & amendments to hold moisture in my sandy soil. After last year's successes... a fully amended bed yielded a "boatload" of tomatoes & peppers.

Expanding the plans for this year & want to give it a potager feel. How wide would I need to make my beds for tomatoes? peppers? a zuc? Would a "Square foot gardening" type of plan be a good guide?

I have raised beds due to gophers. But the going thoughts are about a 3-4' wide bed for reachability. Now, on width of paths, I'm in the 3' range so that you can easily maneuver wheelbarrows of soil/compost because you WILL have to add stuff each year!

Also, I'm in the west where we don't get the humidity/ bugs/ vining of squash.
