That kitchen is gorgeous thanks for sharing. Our designer has 36 inches spaced in....I'm just second-guessing everything tonight! It is a townhouse kitchen, although a fairly big townhome at around 3800 sq. feet, it's still a townhouse kitchen. Thx to all for the help.

It would be entirely up to you. It may be easier to use wood and drill the holes for the trolleys when you go to install the doors. Doing this would ensure the holes are located exactly where they need to be as everything would be right there and you could do a dry fit before drilling any holes. You could also order the hardware then take the hardware to the supplier for the plexiglass so they can drill the holes after checking it all with a dry fit.

The design of the cabinet box allows for a trim kit to be placed around the microwave, hence the 27" specification, instead of 24". The trim kit allows for enough circulation around the unit.

Definitely find a local fireplace shop. I recently had to go through day-long dealer training for gas appliances and it was 7 hours on gas logs and inserts, one hour on grills. That's because there are a lot of variables and a lot of calculations that go into getting just the right insert. I was blown away by the amount of knowledge that was in that room - that's who you want specifying and installing your product.
