The layout here is going to reward you if you paint all - living, dining, kitchen, sunroom - the same tone. Lyons red is very dark - and will take all the light out of the room. It also will feel very "Ralph Lauren" formal rather than contemporary - to pull off red walls successfully in a large area requires lots of print layering and trim. The yellow you selected could work everywhere - but even then you will want to have a strategy - echo the stainless backsplash with some print fabrics that incorporate gray and yellow so it comes together. Are your main upholstery pieces in gray? white slipcovers?

Completely agree with Brandi Nash Hicks in that it's just paint. You can easily change colors quickly and cheaply. Go with what you envision your dream kitchen color being and see what you think. Worst case scenario is you buy a new bucket of paint! :)

Do the whole area in one soft color but then explode the sunroom with the dramatic color, it can handle it there, it will look fab!
