Kitchen -polished chrome/nickel

I love the look of polished nickel but have two young boys and worry about maintenance. We are doing a kitchen and wet bar area. Worried about chrome looking "cheap" as woman in store told me and cold. If you have either can you weigh in:) Is polished nickel a nightmare. We will have exposed hinges and inset cabinets so worried about so much metal too.

We have a polished nickel faucet in our powder room, and it has not been a problem to keep clean with our young children. I did a mix of polished nickel and satin nickel in our kitchen. All of my light fixtures are polished nickel, but all hardware and faucets are satin nickel. Something to consider...

I think both are beautiful! And btw, Chrome is back! It is classic and beautiful.

If price is a consideration, PN is quite a bit more expensive. But if that's not an issue, pick what you like! Either will look great!
