when everyone takes them back to their rooms (over the door hangers, outside the door in summer, on the back in winter) the bathroom dries out so much faster. and its that much more pleasant for the next person to shower.

Bathroom. So that they will be convenient to grab after next shower without having to remember to grab on way in. But for my kids, when they were still home, I had them hang them in their rooms - 3 kids sharing 1 bathroom meant a lot of towels and not a lot of hanging space.

Usually I don't reuse them because of the humidity they don't dry out. I have hooks in the bathroom for the ' dry season ' though.

when all our kids lived at home I took an idea from an Irish. cottage and had a wooden peg rack instead of a towel bar for the kids' bath.
Really hate the lack of hanging space at in laws house when 5 of us share their guest bath. A dollar store over the door rack helps.

I prefer bathroom for all the myriad of practical reasons. My wife prefers the bedroom door for all the myriad of practical reasons.
