Timely! I just got done spraying deep woods off on just to go out and grill. They are literally coming out of the grass!

Herbals work best? Sure looks to me like DEET and Picaridin work best. But maybe I'm misreading the table?

Thank you Dani, for bringing this to my attention. I went back and looked and yes, I did misread the table. I saw that the red dots at the top meant excellent and only looked at the last column which I thought was the final score, but it relates to cost. Sorry about that; never was good at reading graphs. Sorry I can't change the subject line, but you can make your choice with the information given.

At least "Repel Lemon Eucalyptus" is near the top of the list. Not knowing what it was I looked up P-Menthane-3,8-diol, the second ingredient. From what I can tell it is derived from Eucalyoptus trees and other sources say it is safe to use. From what I read there have been quite a few people that have had a bad reaction to DEET.

Personally I've found that the herbals work very well, as does a scented dryer sheet hanging out of a pocket.

For a yard fogger I use "Cutter Natural". I sprayed it around the back door this evening to keep mosquitoes from following the dogs in and Bob said, "What is that that smells so good?".

I like Melaleuca's Natural Insect Repellent and Avon's Skin So Soft. Both have to be reapplied every hour or so if I'm working and sweating in the yard. Dryer sheets don't seem to work for me but I still stuff them in my pockets.
