What about 2 smaller ones @ each end - maybe dark natural jute or similar textured solids?

Hard to make out proper colors in photo, but maybe a charcoal tone - or is that blue?

The rug is 2.5 x 4 and I only have room for 2. I would trip with small pieces. Just looking for something coordinate as it doesn't look like I'll be able to exactly match. it is a charcoal grey or maybe a muted black background. I love red, gold, white.

Well, it's available in the runner only at Target, as you probably saw...I might be tempted to buy the runner and cut it shorter, if the width works. Not sure how hard it would be to finish off a cut end with binding, but it would be worth a try if you love it. I usually use two rugs in my laundry, too, one runner (but shorter than 7'), one matching rectangular.
