PERSIL Walmart Today

I was in Walmart this morning to pick a bottle of Persil. Low and beyond the shelves were bare. No 2-in1, no Pearls, no NOTHING except Pro Caps. Did they drop the line?

I am NE Ohio and visited two Walmarts and nothing. That was a short lived arrangement. Lol

I'm in Edmonton Alberta and as of last week the shelves are full here.

Someone had mentioned Henkel changed the formula. Wonder if that has to do with it. Your in Canada?

WM here has liquid (although not 2-in-1) and pods (or packs or whatever) on the shelf, no powder/perls. Less quantity than at the introduction. I had to go to WM in larger nearby town a couple months ago to find 2-in-1 liquid.

I was at the local store Friday, and noticed one small bottle of 2-in-1 but I suspect it had been shoved to back of the shelf and recently got moved forward. Going back in a few mins to fetch it, if it's still there.

Several weeks ago I seen Perls on clearance in 2 walmarts here...now the shelves are stocked with all the US Persils.

In stock at my walmart. There was a bottle that was maybe a little over 2/3's full. wonder if somebody decided to try it for free?lol. Also my Food Lion had the liquid.

    Yes I'm in Canada.

I was actually just at Walmart but didn't check for Persil, it was crazy busy and I had all three kids with me, lucky we made it out alive! I did see the big bottles at Costco last week though, fully stocked.

Persil may be available at Discount Drug Mart in northeast Ohio.

Here in central Ohio, DDM is fully stocked.

My Walmart is fully stocked. In fact, there is a new flavor, extra fresh linen. It had a lighter, herbal scent. I would have gotten it but have no room for any more detergent at the moment.

Fetched the little bottle, 20-load size, $5.24. Would have taken a pic of the offerings but there were a couple employees hanging there straightening the shelves. They'd just finished past the Persil section. No Fresh Linen scent.

    Extra Fresh Linen...whhhhaaaaatt!

Now I want to smell that.

Ohhh, George, my guess is you will soon have a bottle of the newest Persil scent. LOL

Someone please buy this scent and report back. Sounds lovely!

Ooh I want to try that one!

I have to try the fresh linen. I love that smell in a perfume, so I bet it smells wonderful in a detergent as well.

I had a work meeting in town, so I stopped at Wal-Mart. The shelves were full of the different types of Persil. And they had the linen scent, so I bought it. I'll do some wash tomorrow so I'll give it a try then, and report back. I sniffed the bottle, of course, and I think it has a nice scent. I thought the regular scent was good, but if I didn't dose it just right, it made my nose stuff up. We'll see with this new scent. It smells lighter.

I washed two loads today with the fresh linen scent. I was careful on the dosing as when I overdid it a bit on the regular detergent my nose got stuffy. The fresh linen has a pleasant scent and after drying the smell was light and not overpowering. We'll see how it smells in a couple of days, but I don't think the scent will linger. Everything came clean, even my grungy windbreaker. Overall I am happy with it. I do have very hard water and use an old school top loader.

LOL@ Walmart and Persil....I've been working on restoring a few old pieces of bedding and earlier today hubs said well what detergents did Roc recommend you use on the chenille. .as I was running low on my pearls I told the truth...Persil Pearls but I'm out of it...I wasn't but I was getting to the point of needing more and I wasn't looking forward to a detergent argument. ..he of course said he'd run to Walmart and get me one..that was just too easy. Hes up to something LOL.

It's been said before, but if Mike ever finds this forum... DEAD! lol

MamaP.....Mike ASKED about Detergents, and then volunteered to buy you some? W H A T? Yes, up to something!!

I'm dying laughing that Mike knows about Roc. I remember the first time our son asked me if MamaPinky uses the same detergent as we do!! LOL

Yes Mike knows Roc is our cotton/linen expert and that I value every thing she's taught me. He also knows I never value someone's knowelage unless they deserve it...so he automatically knew if Roc said Persil Pearls than that is what I should use.....and Roc was right Larsi, the Pearls removed the mildew smell and all the dingy, even in warm water...I love my Tide with Bleach powder, but I wonder if it would have worked as well in less than hot water.

But even so Mikes up to something, probably going to start on me about getting a new van again, he does every few months, LOL.
