Exterior house colors for confused architecture on Whidbey Island

Would love to get opinions on what colors to paint this large 1980s home. It is on top of a hill all by itself and is quite prominent from the road. We don't want to hide it but rather celebrate its oddness. I would love to go super dark with white trim and love the coastal look. A different complimentary color could be used for the semi attached apartment/garage building in the back to help scale it down. Roof will be galvanized metal and decks will be white and cable. Anyone have any good dark paint colors that would help this confused house?

I was thinking the same on the dark blues! thanks for sharing. We want to keep some of the shingles natural. Unfortunately many have been painted. Scared to go super dark but really want to

For Widbey, I like the color in the last photo that Ashhb8 posted. The shingles would be similar to the front door color in the photo. The home in that photo is also an island setting. You have a great house in a wonderful place!

Well whatever you experts choose, please make sure that the colour returns around outside corners of volumes. This picture shows shingles 1 colour and siding another which cheapens the look.

Beautiful home great color choice and very nice place in the world to live. Husband is from Silverdale, when we retire we are looking at one of the islands need to see the water and the mountains again.
