Caulking windows when drizzling? Will that seal in moisture? bad idea?

So I had my handyman out today to seal up windows with caulk and some bricks. The home needed it and we've been raining here for about 12 days straight and still have another week or rain in forecast.

In retrospect, was it dumb to have him caulk today? Not really raining today. Just misty. But will caulking such a wet soggy house from all the rain leading up to today seal in the rain into those caulking cracks?
