Disc adhesive plate hanger

Thank you graywings. Have you used these? Some of the plates I want to hang are really old.

Can you remove the holders if you choose to later on?

If you use the disc adhesive hangers, strengthen the bond by using electrical or duct tape over the disc portion. If you never plan to use the plates as plates or sell them, then use epoxy to attach a small hanger on the back of the plate, then use a picture hanger on the wall. Another option not yet suggested is to have the plates professionally mounted into a shadowbox frame, but that results in a different look than you might want.

the wire stretchy things are the safest... here you can get them in white with plastic coating which makes them less visible

I used the disc hangers and none of them held. My plates were very clean and followed the instructions exactly. I also used them on a tole tray, when it fell it sounded like a sonic boom and that is what prompted me to check my plates. The discs were loosening and pulling away so I took them down. It really is a great concept but in application not so great.

I have a 25 year collection of Cape Cod souvenir blue transferware plates. Some are a century old. I would never trust the adhesive hangers. I use the stretchy wires.
