what size kitchen is this? What size is the island? did you need to put in extra support below?

I am trying to design my kitchen... due to many builder problems I have been in a delay mode and the kitchen island has been put on hold; however, I need to get a design in place asap--so you help in details of this kitchen is greatly appreciated.

We increased the size of the original kitchen with a rear addition. The new kitchen is about 22' x 22' and the island is about 9' x 9'. Let me know if you have any other questions. Good Luck with your project!

The island is almost 2 full slabs of granite. There is a seam, but it blends in nicely and is not noticeable. The backsplash is 3 x 6 tumbled travertine with with 5/8" x 1 1/4" non-iridescent glass tile called Back in Black. Thanks for your interest. Best of luck!
