What style house are you building or remodeling? We are still using tumbled stone for back splashes in traditional style homes. We use a lot of 3 x 6 subway also, not only in traditional, but in transitional and modern. We are seeing a trend toward larger rectangular shaped tiles, 4 x 8, 4, x 12, in transitional and modern. I recommenced you stick with light beige tones for the splash. In the tumbled stone use Ivory or Chiaro. I hope this answers your question. Thank you!
