It looks like a fried Moonstone. Have you had very hot dry weather?

Now that you mentioned it the weather did turned hot overnight while the bloom was opening. The bloom stayed like this until it dropped. So there is still a chance this is Moonstone? To be honest, I do like the look of it though.

The bloom form does look like Moonstone. Mine do start out more pink and then get bleached out if it's been very sunny. I'd wait for the next blooms to tell for sure.

This has happened to my Moonstones, especially in the summer during dry spells. Interesting photos in any case.
