Confused…I thought you said the Montreal is too big for the space? It is 91” wide. My Chesterfields are 84” and they are big sofas. Maybe you should tape out the size on the floor….also tape it out for when it is open. You don’t want to have to move furniture to make the sofa a bed.

What are planning on putting on the shelves if all the stuff you have in the cabinets now are going on the new shelves I would just paint the cabinet you have white . A nice piece of art above the fireplace would be better than a mirror reflecting nothing worth seeing twice.

#1 might produce a bit of eye glare. It depends upon where it is going to be located as it relates to how close a person will be to it.

I agree. On #1, all I see is the bulbs. On #2, my eye is drawn to the entire fixture.
