Question on 'Frosted Mouse Ears'?

Does this plant start out when immature with a lighter green center and darker green edges? I have one that is mature and has white edges with darker green centers. Can anyone answer my question to verify that I have an immature 'Frosted Mouse Ears'?

Immature one is the top photo. Mature one is the bottom photo. Thanks in advance.

Nope, the top one is not Frosted Mouse Ears :(. The frost on this Mouse is there from the get go.

Not sure what you have there in that cutie but somebody will know. :-)

It was in front of a Rainforest Sunrise and it's way too small for it to be that!

Did you notice it last year or before that? It's possible that it maybe some seedling if you didn't plant it there. :-)

This was in front of the RS hosta before I dug out the RS for division for a plant sale. I'm not sure what happened to the metal tag which can grow wings and escape! I know it's one of the 'Mouse' series and where I bought it from (Klehm). I am speaking with them Monday to see if they keep order histories on customers (I can figure it out from there). If they don't keep order histories, then the next step is going through landscape receipts which are at another place. I looked for the Landscape tag among my perennial envelope, but nothing is there. Was hoping anyone familiar with 'Mouse' series might be able to ID it before I contact Klehm.

I saw it was small and thought it might be a division of Rainforest Sunrise that I forgot to get all out; it's been in a different spot from the bottom photo for over 2 years. Never gets any larger than that so I know it's not RS hosta.

a yellow edge can fade toward white ... especially in spring ...

but a blue edge never goes white ... that i know of ...

i suspect the plant you removed.. and it it hasnt gotten bigger in years.. it might be too deep ... making it lack vigor.. and not getting bigger.. and barely holding on ...

dig it up.. and reset it .. and see what changes ...

Thanks Ken, but I think it's a mini & not a small hosta. I do fertilize yearly in spring all my perennials and shrubs with Plant Tone and it's in a clay loamy mix of soil.

It looks exactly like my Holy Mouse Ears. The center turns while as the season progresses.

I just got off the phone with Klehm Song Sparrow Nursery and they were able to give me an order history either by phone or by e mail. Order history cannot be done through their website. Anyway, I didn't buy this mystery plant though I do think that I may have gotten a 'Holy Mouse Ears', as per Babka's great photos. I will have to reprint the tag with the 'Holy Mouse Ears' on it. Still trying to figure out how I got 1, maybe when they grow all these 'Mouse Ear' series they are grown closely together and this one hitched a ride with the 'Frosted Mouse Ears'.? Thanks everyone for your help. I can always count on someone being able to ID a plant on this website.
