Where can I find pic of tiny glass tiles

Trying to find pic of tiny, cream colored glass tiles for backsplash. I think they are 18 across by 18 down per square foot. We have cream martial floors and granite that looks like Home Depot Giallo Fiorita. Cabs are Maple with Hazelnut finish.

Do you think the tiny tiles would be a pain to keep clean?????would grout stain with pasta sauce???? Would it look too busy?

Do not like granite countertop but it is staying. Hopefully there will be a big decorative exhaust fan over cooktop when those 2 cabs are removed.

trying to make kitchen more contemporary. It is very dull in there and thought glass tiles would add some sparkle.

For me, the backsplash you describe would be too busy with your granite.

Love your cabinets, but I don't like the granite either. It might be Baltic Brown. Why lock it in with a backsplash when you already have one? Do you have so much counter that you can't hold off and replace it in a few years? Think of the possibilities with a light-colored, modern granite or quartz.... ;)

The granite is very busy so anything but a solid tile with few grout lines won't look so good.

You have a great space! How about a solid color tile?

I too have busy granite and the matching granite backsplash... The only tile backsplash I could find that worked in my similar space was solid color tile...pulled from a color in the granite.

there is no way that my husband will replace the granite, so I am stuck with it. really wanted solid glass backsplash but that is prohibitively expensive. thought a solid color beige mosaic glass (to bring in a little sparkle) would help, but it may be "too much". Not really a fan of subway tile look, but I may have to go with a solid glass in that. Here is the pic that started me on this journey. It is an old Houzz post.

I like both choices. I actually like the glass choice the best. It's simple and matches well with your space. The dark choice is nice too but I'm afraid it will blend too much with the cabinet color.

Grout a sample. I loved glass tlies until I saw them grouted. IMO they lose all their light.

    That's not your granite, right?

Are you removing the 4" splash? If not, I wouldn't tile it. The 4" splash really is okay when you have a bit older kitchen.

I have stains on the painted wall above the 4" splash. I guess I am just a sloppy cook! really want that 4" removed and backsplash all. To practical - I will definitely check that out! Yikes!!!

I'm having a hard time finding the same small tiny glass installed.. Here are some samples of mixed glass pieces similar to your space.

Any way you can make a "trade" with DH over the counters? Say he gets that nice new (whatever he's been lusting after) and you get the new countertop?

Oceanside Glasstile has the small tiles. The color you're looking for is Cane. I had a sample home in the shiny, matte, and iridescent mix and it was gorgeous. I wouldn't recommend the iridescent for your kitchen--too blingy--and really loved the matte. But I believe their mosaic tile is $40 or more a sheet.

As a designer, I always advise my clients to NEVER decorate around something they dislike. They'll spend a lot of money and they'll still dislike it. You need to get hubby to come around to a new countertop instead of the ugly, busy granite.
