I have a kitchen with lots of countertops. Most wrap around the perimeter. There is a prep/wet bar area that is set aside from the rest, almost entering into the family room. There is also a small island. (The wet bar is along the same wall as some of the perimeter cabinets but separated by the refrigerator and the entrance to a hallway.)I want to use quartz on the main perimeter kitchen counters, and butcher block on the island and wet bar area. I've seen many pictures with wood island counter and stone perimeter, so I know that will work. But I am concerned about the wet bar area, since it is actually on the perimeter. Should that be quartz to match the rest of the perimeter or is it okay to match that to the island? I hope that makes sense. Thanks!
