Wild flowers or Weed fabric and bushes?

I am redoing my backyard. First I brought fill dirt to make a more leveled area for a soccer field for my 9 year old boy. So, now I have a slope that I am trying to decide to cover with wildflower seeds or weed fabric and plant bushes. Behind that there is a field of beautiful wild, natural vegetation that is a menace when it comes to fill in, not the trees but the weeds that come with it. How do I make the slope/hill vegetation blend in with the natural vegetation in the back but control the weeds from migrating to the sod?

If you want easy care, I vote for wildflowers. We did that on a hillside at a previous house, and it worked out very well. They die off in winter, so it looks bland then, but in the summer it is a colorful profusion of happy flowers. Plus, the flowers are good for other wildlife too. With bushes, you'll still struggle with weeding, even with the weed protecting mesh.

You cannot stop the wild weeds from getting in your space so I would do wildflowers as a nice blend
