DMARC problems. Need help from computer mavens!

I have put together a photobook of pictures of my daughter's children for my mother. Before I buy it, I would like my daughter to see it to make sure she is happy with the pictures I've included. I have been trying all day to send her the draft. Each time it is rejected. The photobook publisher, MyPublisher which is a division of Shutterfly, is less than no help. They tell me the problem isn't on their end. Their only suggestion was to put their domain name into DD's address book. She did. It didn't help.

Below are the error messages I keep getting.

When I try to send to her Yahoo email account, I get this message: <DD's email address>: host mta7.am0.yahoodns.net[98.138.112.38] said: 554 5.7.9
Message not accepted for policy reasons. See

When I try to send to her Gmail account, I get this message:

Can I fix this?

You can use something like Dropbox (online file storage) instead of trying to email it.

Can she just not sign into your account and view it that way? Seems much easier to me

I thought that would be easiest too. However, MyPublisher uses downloaded software. The draft is not available on my account on their website until I've purchased it. I double checked that with Customer Service.

I forgot to add above, as a test, I also sent the draft to a friend whose uses EarthLink email. It was not rejected!

is the book in a file you could upload to dropbox and then share with her ?

To me, it looks like the file type is not being accepted by Yahoo or Gmail, which may reject certain types due to past experience with spamming or malicious embedded code (not your fault). Can you print it to or save it as a PDF file?

d_gw, DD has gmail account. I've tried to "share" to both Yahoo and Gmail accounts. Both rejected it. In my original message, I copied and pasted the rejection language. Friend is on vacation and probably not checking email. She is much less "connected" than most people.

diane_nj, the way the software is set up, it cannot be printed, nor can it be saved as a .pdf file.

With new grandchildren, I'll be making plenty of photobooks. I've been making photobooks using My Publisher since 2011. I haven't made scads, but I've made enough and made them often enough to be familiar and comfortable with the software. I've used Blurb before but found it more difficult to navigate. If I cannot get this problem resolved, I'm going to have to change to a different company.

bbstx, I am sorry about the stupid advice. I promise I did read your post but apparently the gmail part flew out of my brain because I came back to edit the post to add the "helpful" gmail advice. Hope you can figure out a solution.

Thanks, d_gw. I didn't think your answer was stupid. We all get busy and breeze past things. In addition to asking here, I've been searching to see if I can find an answer. All the the articles I read seem to be aimed at a system administrator (of course, with my level of computer savvy, it might as well be written in Greek!). Customer service at My Publisher suggested that we add their email address to our address books. Sounded like good advice but made no difference.

I was able to send the book to my daughter, but only AFTER I purchased it. Sending it from the website is apparently allowable, but sending it from the software isn't. Go figure!

Nothing to add here but I totally feel your frustration with file sharing. I have tried photo album sharing several times in the recent past with both Shutterfly and Snapfish and have been frustrated. Had been successful in the past so I can't figure what had changed. I could only surmise it had something to do with servers rejecting the file size or something.

I asked My Publisher Customer Service to let their IT people know of the problem, so that they could work with Yahoo and Google to straighten it out. Even if it isn't a problem with My Publisher, they have an interest in seeing that it works smoothly for their consumers. Plus, I am abysmally ignorant of what a solution to the problem would entail, and wouldn't understand it after I was told.

The file that was sent to my friend who uses Earthlink went through without a problem.

Plus, yesterday I was looking at Christmas outfits for the twins. I tried to send a link to DD using the websites "share" button. I got the same rejection from Yahoo - "for policy reasons."

Does anyone know how I can get in touch with someone at Yahoo? This is too frustrating for words. DD and I do a lot of whatever this is (file sharing?).
