Kitchen cabinets to ceiling for short people?
Comments (12)To me, this depends but you should ALWAYS think of resale. If you are building a home that is considered on the mid to higher end of the market for you area, you absolutely need cabinets to the ceiling. If you are selling in the mid to to lower range, it is not necessary and I would say save your budget to put elsewhere. I have bought and sold homes on the lower and higher end and mid-high end end buyers see cabinet that do not go to the ceiling has a cheap shortcut and demand money off asking to get it fixed and mid-lower end do not notice/care at all....See MoreLooking for kitchen pullouts for base cabinets
Comments (7)I ordered custom sized shelves from Shelves That Slide several times and have been very happy with the quality. They can make any size you need. I thought the price was reasonable. I'm not sure how the price compares to the premade ones, but it seemed in line....See Moretoo small sink in a 27" kitchen sink base cabinet
Comments (5)Thanks for your reply. Most 27" farmhouse sinks that we've seen through google searches seem to require a larger base cabinet - cutting the cabinet, or even having one made specifically for this space might be the only way. If we want to keep the cabinet centered on the window, we really have no wiggle room to left or right. To the immediate right is the DW, then fridge, then door to outside. It is tight and I think our only remedy is to build a cabinet. Thanks for your feedback....See MoreBlind Corner base cabinet in small kitchen layout
Comments (9)Your terminology is confusing to people here. The blind corner is the space you need to fill. It sounds like you want to put a lazy Susan in it. There are other options like a rev-a-shelf but as someone else said, a 12" space doesn't give you enough room to access. The problem is that you are trying to fit a lot into the 60" space between the chimney (that's where the clock is, correct?) and the wall. If you had drawn your picture to scale, it would be easier to see that there is little benefit to your turning the corner and creating a blind corner. You only have a 12" section between your small refrigerator and the longer run of cabinet. Not worth it. Looks like you are planning to remove the brick half-wall and put base cabinets there? If you post some more measurements maybe you you'll get some better suggestions. Are you constrained with the location of plumbing and stove fan?...See MoreThe Kitchen Abode Ltd.
