This type of cabinetry uses adjustable legs to get to a standard 34 1/2" base height. Ikea is a good example of this. Their bases are 30" height and the kick height will be 4 1/2". Not aware of any other non custom cabinetry suppliers here that offer this system.

Thanks Graham. I did find a company, Alpha Cabinets, that make 24" H, and 27" H but they are not actually retailers. I did look at Ikea but I would want to incorporate a toe kick. Though if necessary I could do without that feature.

Ikea has a toe kick, it just attaches to the legs with clips.

Are you looking for a lower than standard counter top height? What is the application? Vanity cabinets are lower in height.

They are for a kitchen. Most of them will run under a large window, the sill of which is 27" off the floor. I will want one cabinet that is standard height for the sink, (on an adjacent wall) but on both sides of the sink cabinet they need to be shorter. To make matters worse, there is a corner that is about 110 degrees, not the typical 90 degree angle.

Most cabinet lines have desk-height cabinets, which are usually about 28 1/2" tall including the toe kick.

That would work, but I haven't seen that height when I looked around. Maybe a search for "desk height cabinets" would yield something.

If you don't mind altering the box depth on-site then use upper cabinets set on adjustable legs. They are available in a wide range of heights.

I strongly suggest you find an experienced kitchen designer to help you. What you are suggesting does not sound to me like a good option, but without seeing your kitchen it is hard to tell. Kitchen cabinets are 34.5' high so that you can work on the countertop without having to bend over. Not only will the lower cabinets look odd, they will be harder to use for that reason. Also keep in mind that the countertop is an additional 1.5" so a normal countertop is 36" from the floor. Is there any way you can move the window up higher or not put cabinets under the window? How are the cabinets currently configured?

No I haven't. An air conditioner has to go into that window, so I wouldn't want to cover it.

There are no cabinets currently. This is a reno job of a tenement apartment. The cabinets under the window are replacing a bath tub. (yes, a bath tub in the kitchen -- NYC tenement apartment).

3 years later, I did follow a couple of suggestions. I used different wall cabinets and melamine boards to construct a unit with a custom top. I just want to add that in another area I needed a narrow (9") base cabinet only 20" deep and after shopping around found a company that carried my cabinet design (Forevermark Uptown White) who customized the depth.
