I received Ruth's wonderful package yesterday. Sorry not to have posted then. I had errands to run and then came home and took a nap! Amy, I am always a bit surprised to hear when someone says they have not been to CA......not sure why that is. There is lots to do but I find that regardless of what state I travel to...I always find lots to do. To be perfectly honest, I am not a LOS ANGELES lover by any means. My Mom was a rabid baseball fan. I have never been, SO........Breanne or Annie, or whoever else follows baseball - How many games are played in the WS?

And to show support and solidarity with my fellow FUN GIRLS, I will cheer for the Cubs too!.

Tonight is the opening night for the NBA 2016. Part of me is really happy; part of me thinks "oh no, not again! I'm too old for this!"

I have to find a way not to get so excited, or angry at the refs.

Shirley - IT's never JUST a GAME! lol. J/K...The world series consists of 7 games. Best out of wins the whole kit and caboodle. Cubs did not have a good showing last night...stinky Indians. OH WELL...here's to the next 4!

Annie - I just visited California for the 1st time ever last May and I loved it. I wish I'd had so much more time. It was a whirlwind. I had to go to San Francisco on business but managed to see the ocean, the bay, the GG bridge, Alcatraz, The Giant Redwoods, the Bay Bridge, The Fisherman's Wharf, the Sea Lions on Pier 39, China Town, and Coit Tower all while we were there! I had such a lovely time. Cannot wait to visit again! Now only 4 states left for me to see!

I cheered as hard as I could, Breanne, better luck on the next game!

And here are the lovely birdhouses that were part of the package I received from Ruth. Aren't they cute? Ruth, did you make them? Other things included were a candy bar (gone at this point - LOL), some packets of morning glory seeds, a little mushroom to put in fairy garden, and on the "girlie side", body wash, skin lotion, and sun shades lip balm with the flavor "Pumpkin Spice". How perfect - it has joined the pumpkin hand sanitizer that I carry in my purse!
