I would choose white because the tree will be on city land and the color of your house may change over the years

A tree is obviously a long term commitment, so I would go with a color that will be compatible with any color you choose to paint your home over the years. This leads me to think white would be best.

You need to trim the rose bushes under your two windows. They were never meant to be that tall. They should be close to even with the bottoms of the windows.

If suitable for your zone, Natchez White is a great Crepe Myrtle. It has exfoliating bark in the fall and bright yellow leaves, and huge white blooms all spring and summer. Excellent tree in the south. Also mildew resistant and does not send up sucker branches from the base.

Well, not sure about that use! In case you aren't kidding, the bark splits in the fall all along the trunk and peels back revealing a cinnamon colored new bark. Very attractive, especially the multi-trunk ones.

Just a reminder, no matter the color, these are messy trees. The thin, papery blossoms stick to everything! We have one, Pepto Bismol pink, and the blossoms fall early summer, and stick to, and stain everything.

Agree red would look nice with the house right now, but white might be safer in the long run. We have 6 crepe myrtles on our property. They can be messy...fortunately ours are all away from the house and foot traffic.
